Ayurveda, meaning knowledge of longevity, is a comprehensive holistic health care system started from Nepal. It is the science of healthy eating and medicine which is one of the chapters of the 4th Veda 'Atharvaveda'. Dhanwantari is the father of Ayurveda and later, Saint Ashwinikumar, Charak, Chyawan, Vaskar, Pail, Bhardwaj carried out the noble wisdom in certain time frame. The subject 'Ayurveda' was taught at Nalanda University of Greater Nepal (700 BC ~ 1400 AD) which was the first and the biggest university in the world. Since that time- Indian, Chinese, Persians and Europeans have been spreading the noble wisdom of Ayurveda for a healthy society. Although it remained in shadow for a while, now the entire world is seeking for Ayurvedic teachings taught by revered Saints / Rishimunis of Nepal. And, we are attempting to handover the legacy of Rishimuni's for well-beings of entire world.

AYURVEDA The wild earth beneath the mighty Himalayas is the treasure trove for Himalayan herbs. It is needless to talk about miserable peoples of other countries when Nepalese themselves are in trauma and tragedy suffering from various diseases. Many people die not because of hunger but not knowing how to eat and what to eat. It seems that most of the people live for eating. No doubt, food is ambrosia but at the same time it can be poison if we don’t know how to eat. Lack of consciousness and carelessness, people are taking slow poison in the name of so-called sophisticated food and becoming a poisonous man. Culture of selling milk and buying wine, selling organic wheat and buying a packet of noodles, fashion of using papaya shampoo instead of eating papaya is somewhat laughable upon healthy lifestyle.

"Health is happiness" but modern people are living in turmoil and tragedy because of action against the nature, chemical food, modern life-style, doctors' pills culture. It is an open secret that pills has side effect causing distress, migraine and killing immunity power. One can read a long list of caution and side-effecs written in the allopathy medicine packet. For not knowing balance diet and Ayurvedic food all most all the human problems have been aroused. Rather birds and animals eat wittily but not the humans. Lack of exercise, imbalanced diet, uses of excessive ready-made oily and spicy food, salt, white sugar, ajinomoto (Msg), preservative used juices, Coca-Cola and other beverages are the major cause of health hazards. Consequently people are living with death having tension, restlessness, hypertension, migraine, heart-attack, diabetics, asthma, kidney damage, gastric, sinus, cancer and hundreds of diseases. Have you ever seen a deer suffering from diabetics? But supreme creature on earth- humans are suffering from 1008 diseases. Isn't it paradox? What is the worth of wealth when we cannot enjoy life at all?  Therefore, please start a vegetarian llife and take natural food as far as possible. Meat and wine is not meant for human body as it cannot digest like of lion and jackal. It would be just like putting diesel in a petrol car. We need to understand the mechanism of our mysterious human body who engineered us. Our human body is made up of Dhatus (tissues), Malas (waste products) and Dosha (energetic forces).  It is the Tridosha that influence all movements' transformation sensory function of our body and mind. The fundamental principle of Ayurveda lies in balancing Tri-Dosha (three energetic forces- Pitta, kapha and Vatha) which is fire, water and air element of our body respectively.  Ahar (food we eat) – Bihar (daily routine) and Brahmachar (saving sperm) is the main foundation of Ayurveda. The below given basic points must be discussed while talking on Ayurveda;

  • Food is God- respect food, eat like a poor and live like a king.
  • Live a vegetarian life please! Avoid oily and spicy food, white sugar, white salt, ajinomoto (Msg), preservatives, junk food, canned food, Coca-Cola and other beverages including artificial juices and vegetable oil. Remember, vegetable oil does not melt by our body temperature and gets stuck in nervous system that  causes severe cholesterol.
  • Please take herb dust (honey or lemon) with warm water in the morning, whey at noon and a glass of milk in the evening.
  • Alcohol is often known as devil's juice. Alcohol lowers positive vibration of our body. By killing brain cells, it literally weakens your connection with your self. In fact, you are not drinking alcohol rather alcohol is drinking you.
  • As far as possible, eat raw food or half boiled vegetables, salads, cereals, fruits.
  • Ayurvedic food (no meat – no tobacco, no alcohol please), Mono diet (taking one type of food at a time) and drinking a glass of pure water in every hour is the key for healthy lifestyle.
  • We must not drink water during meal as it extinguishes fire at Epic Gastrium and causes indigestion. It is recommended to drink water after one hour of our meal.
  • Tulsi, turmeric, onion, garlic, coriander, fenugreek, Jwano, aniseed seed, cumin seed, mint, Aloe-Vera, cinnamon, Triphala etc to be taken regularly.
  • Take food on time, little but balanced diet. Evening food must be very light just to chew or swallow.
  • Never take (lemon, citrus, sour, curd, whey, orange, amala or pickle) with starch or carbohydrate food like; rice, roti, chapatti, bread, potatoes etc. It disturbs enzyme formation and digestive process. However, if taken with proteins (cereals, dal, legumes, salads or green vegetables) does not harm.
  • Do not take milk with curd, sweets, sweet fruits or juice. Never mix juice with tea, coffee, curd, wine and cold drinks. Mixing curd with banana, milk with salt, ghee with honey is also not good.
  • Fish + dal, fish + meat, meat + egg, meat + milk, paneer + egg, milk + egg or horlicks or cold drinks (refregeretor food) are very harmful. Taking milk with egg affects our memory system. 
  • Pealed onions (as in Salad) gathers germs if kept for long time. Keeping cut pieces of onion on the table cleans virus. 
  • Fasting once in a week is much recommended but must not fast forcefully- otherwise, you may dream receiving invitation from King and Queen. Ha! Ha! Ha!  By the way, Noble prize winner James Alision (Professor of Texas University) and Tasuku Hoj (Professor of Kyoto University) proved immense secrecy of being healthy just by becoming vegetarian and fasting once a week can reduce 90 % of cancer attack.
  • Food quality directly depends on our psychology. Therefore, neat & clean food with nice decoration is recommended. Eating quietly with burning oil lamps is soul soothing. Mixture of several food items disturbs in its original taste and enzyme production. Brass or bronze dishes are best for balancing Tri-doshas.
  • Serotonin is the hormone which creates happiness and it is made in the gut – not in brain. Our mental, emotion and cognitive level is deeply connected with the food we eat. Devils food (meat, wine, tobacco) begets devil nature where as satwic food (grains, cereals, fruits, vegetables, honey, dairy products) gives positive thoughts. Now, scientists have proven that our gut is the first brain because a person becomes unwell, anxious, fatiqued when gut is imflamed. Therefore, we must eat satvic food only because our 70 trillion micro-organism sustains with eaten food and they make us alive. 
  • Triphala dust with Luke warm water, ghee with ajwain / fenugreek and ginger hot water with turmeric powder and frequent oil massage is the simple way to balance Tridosha. And, please drink water only after one hour of your every meal.  
  • No doubt, water is a life drop but if we do not know the proper way of drinking water- it becomes poison. Many people drink water haphazardly and create tremendous problem in body. There are millions of people suffering for not knowing the art of eating and drinking. First, we need to understand the mechanism of our (body) mysterious machine. Our food needs to be cooked inside the body too. So, the upper gastrointestinal (Amasaya) is meant to cook our food eaten inside generating fire. But when we drink water immediately after meal, it extinguishes fire and leaves the food uncooked which later causes indigestion / huge problem inside abdomen. We can cure 84 disease easily just by starting vegetarian life and knowing proper way of drinking water.
  • Do not drink water immediately after our meal- only after one hour of meal.
  • Must not drink water at once but in sip just like tea or coffee sip.
  • We must drink at least one glass of water early in the morning so that saliva goes inside and reduces acidity. 
  • We must drink about 2 to 3 liters of pure water every day as our body contains 70 % of water.

REMARKS: Westerners saying "Ayurveda is an alternative medicine" is absolutely ridiculous just like saying "I gave birth to my mother". Modern medicine has hardly 100 years of history and cannot cure diseases at all whereas Ayurveda dates back to time immemorial and it cures from the root cause.   NEPAL HIMALAYA HERBS
