The cliff bee sucks nectar from high Himalayan herbal plants like Paanchawale (Danctytorhiza Hatagirea), Sunpati (Anthopogan) flowers, Chaap (Champaka), Bikh (Aconitum spp), Pangra (Entada spp) Pieris (Piris Formosa) which have intoxicating properties.
